"Samantha Saves the Day" by: Valerie Tripp

This is the 5th book in the American Girl Samantha series by: Susan Adler and Valerie Tripp.

Recommended Age: 8+

88 pages

DescriptionWhile spending the summer at Grandmary's home on Goose Lake, Samantha and the twins Agnes and Agatha decide to visit the island where Samantha's parents were drowned during a storm.

My Rating: 5/5

This story was good, but I wished there was more of a spiritual aspect to it. There was ample opportunity for it (especially in the final chapter) but it was lacking. Also, I found parts of it to be overly dramatic (almost unrealistic).

Things to be aware of in “Samantha Saves the Day”

Language:
- 3 “gosh”

Violence:
- A character hits his/her head on a rock.
